Maxine Rippe Award
Criteria for Selection
The Maxine Rippe Award is designed to enrich the Allen County, Indiana, community by
encouraging service to The Lutheran Foundation through making an annual award to faithful
servants. The award provides for the payment of a grant to an individual who, during the current
taxable year of the Raymond Rosenberger Award Foundation, has performed diligent and
faithful service for an exempt charitable organization.
2007 Maxine Rippe Award Winner Reverend Vernon Graham
The Lutheran Foundation is pleased to congratulate The Reverend Vernon Graham,
recipient of the 2007 Maxine Rippe Award. Since 1988, he has
served as both executive pastor and director of Associated Churches of Fort
Wayne. Programs that have grown under his leadership include the Food Bank
System, the Baby’s Closet Program, the Samaritan Counseling Center and the
Weekday Religious Education Program. Pastor Graham has a long history of
fighting or justice and equality for all people and of galvanizing community
resources in times of need. On behalf of the thousands of people whose lives
he has touched, we take this opportunity to express our gratitude.
The Maxine Rippe Award was established by the Raymond Rosenberger Award
Foundation for service to Allen County and through work with an exempt
charitable organization.
