Maxine Rippe Award

Criteria for Selection
The Maxine Rippe Award is designed to enrich the Allen County, Indiana, community by encouraging service to The Lutheran Foundation through making an annual award to faithful servants. The award provides for the payment of a grant to an individual who, during the current taxable year of the Raymond Rosenberger Award Foundation, has performed diligent and faithful service for an exempt charitable organization.

2007 Maxine Rippe Award Winner
Reverend Vernon Graham

The Lutheran Foundation is pleased to congratulate The Reverend Vernon Graham, recipient of the 2007 Maxine Rippe Award. Since 1988, he has served as both executive pastor and director of Associated Churches of Fort Wayne. Programs that have grown under his leadership include the Food Bank System, the Baby’s Closet Program, the Samaritan Counseling Center and the Weekday Religious Education Program. Pastor Graham has a long history of fighting or justice and equality for all people and of galvanizing community resources in times of need. On behalf of the thousands of people whose lives he has touched, we take this opportunity to express our gratitude.

The Maxine Rippe Award was established by the Raymond Rosenberger Award Foundation for service to Allen County and through work with an exempt charitable organization.
