Maxine Rippe Award
2011 Maxine Rippe Award Winner: Roger and Carrie Macke

The Lutheran Foundation is pleased to congratulate Roger and Carrie Macke, recipients of the 2011 Maxine Rippe Award for service to Allen County. As a nurse, Carrie has dedicated her life to providing medical attention and lifting the spirits of those in her care. Roger volunteers as a mentor at the Allen County Jail and provides transportation for members of New Life Lutheran Church to doctor’s appointments and other activities.
Together, they are active in the church’s ministry for Burmese refugees, helping to coordinate health care and provide advocacy. Roger and Carrie Macke are living examples of their church’s mission of “serving the least, the last and the lost.”
The Maxine Rippe Award was established by the Raymond Rosenberger Award Foundation for service to Allen County through work with an exempt charitable organization.
