GRANT INFORMATION
The Foundation awards Regular, Partnership,
and Emergency Grants:
Regular Grants are the Foundation's primary
grant program. They are available to any congregation or
non-profit organization within a 10–county area in
northeast Indiana. Presently, Regular Grants are awarded
four times a year. The Foundation will consider funding
of one-time grants, single-year grants, and multi-year grants
that do not exceed three years.
Partnership Grants are a special category
of grants available to each of the Foundation's Member Congregations.
They are designed to assist congregations with their outreach
ministries and also to enrich the internal life of their
own membership.
Emergency Grants are designed to address
unforeseen circumstances that disrupt the ongoing ministry
or service provided by churches and organizations. The amount
and availability of these funds is limited.
All grant applications and reports can be downloaded from
the Downloads tab.
In addition, the Foundation manages a variety of restricted
funds, with disbursements made regularly according to the
funds' established guidelines.
The Foundation is limited to funding ministries located
in 10 counties in northeast Indiana. They are: Adams, Allen,
DeKalb, Huntington, LaGrange, Noble, Steuben, Wabash, Wells,
and Whitley counties.
When the Foundation receives a grant request, it is reviewed
thoroughly by staff. After all information has been gathered
through paperwork, telephone calls and site visits, staff
prepares evaluations to be reviewed by the Program and Grants
Committee.
The Committee's responsibility is to make recommendations
to the Board of Directors regarding all programs and grants
and to do so according to the stated mission and published
guidelines of the Foundation. The Board of Directors is
responsible for the approval or declination of most grant
requests.
